Steps involved in the preparation of Digital Atlas
I. Using Arc GIS software Atlas in the digital mode has been first of all
prepared.
II. The digitized map layers numbering 25 at study area level 22 different
thematic maps at the district level and 17 different thematic map layers for
each of its block level were created as map layers.

software.
IV. Both forward and backward presentation of required map layers also can be
made available for analytical purpose.

study area as a whole are illustrated appropriately.
VI. Map layers have been incorporated using VB.Net programming software and
produced the Atlas map plates in the form of hard and softcopy ( with
standalone application).

on any PC‘s to view the thematic map layers.
The layers presented in the Digital Atlas are as follows and the map Plates for
each theme are given as hard copy and the complete set of maps prepared are given in
CD format. The map layers of each one of all the ten southern districts could be
merged and created as a digital data base for further detailed analysis.
