X Kanniyakumari. The Digital Atlas hard copy is brought for each district and the
soft copy of the same is designed using the VB.Net software are given in the form of
CD of respective volumes.
Procedure adopted for installing standalone for the use of Digital Atlas
Step 1: Install the Resource Atlas - setup File.
Step 2: Copy the “MAPS” Folder in the C drive
Step 3: Go to C:\Program Files\Default Company Name\ Resource Atlas, right
click on the exe files in that folder and send to desktop.
Now the resource atlas shortcut will be displayed in the desktop
Double click on that shortcut icon will open a ten southern district maps and by
clicking on the “THEMES” 25different thematic maps at the study area level for ten
southern districts will be displayed through the button click.
Clicking on the button “CLICK HERE TO VIEW TEN DISTRICT MAP” and the
district map is displayed,
By clicking on the button “CLICK HERE TO VIEW DISTRICT LEVEL
THEME MAPS” 22 different thematic map layers at district level is displayed.
Clicking on the button “CLICK HERE TO VIEW BLOCK LEVEL THEME
MAPS” 17 different thematic map layers is displayed at the each block level.
The block name is selected from the drop down box and the theme is selected from
the drop down box and by clicking OK the selected block with the selected theme
map will be displayed.
The “BACK” button in each form facilitates to go back to previous window.
The Digital Resource Atlas has been brought out with an outstanding
Thematic Map plates that depicts the location of the study area in Tamilnadu and
India by showing different levels viz District, Taluk, Block and Village
Administrative units. The Digital Atlas comprises of four distinct division’s viz. Part
I, Part II, Part III and Part IV. All the thematic map layers depicted in it are brought
under four major parts comprising the chosen resource based informatic map plates at
multi levels viz, Part I the thematic map plates of the study area - Ten Southern
Districts as one unit; Part II the thematic map plates of each one of the ten districts as
a single unit; Part III the thematic map plates pertaining to the community
