Subject specific and interdisciplinary or Multidisciplinary Refresher courses were organized in coordination with the teaching departments(s) concerned of the University to provide opportunity for the teachers to update the knowledge in subject, technology and new methods in various areas of studies. The main purpose of these programmes is to provide a platform to exchange experiences with their peers and mutually learning from each others. It also helps teachers/research scholars to keep abreast of the latest advances in various subjects. The refresher course will be of two week duration, with minimum of 12 working days and 78 contact hours (six hours a day) excluding Sundays.
The HRDC, MKU has conducted Basic and Advanced Course in Research Methodology in Social Sciences with hands on training and E-content development and planning to conduct short-Term Courses of 3-6 days in Research Methodology in all Subjects such as Basic Course in Research Methodology in Social Sciences with hands on training, Qualitative Data Analysis in Social Sciences, Skill Development in Research for Mathematics, Basic Course in Research Methodology in Life Sciences, Advanced Course in Research Methodology in Life Sciences, Research Methodology in Chemistry, Research Methodology in English and Human Rights Education.
Feedback was collected every day and for every session. It is hoped that the participants will have a very rich and varied academic experience from the programmes conducted by the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (HRDC) of Madurai Kamaraj University and have advanced the frontiers of their knowledge during their stay and such trainings will enable them to enhance their service to the academic community in general and to their students in particular.
