The Department of Solar Energy is focusing mainly on the Study of Solar Photo voltaic Cell materials. The best of alternative renewable energy is conversion of sunlight into electricity using Solar Cells. Since the efficiency of the Solar Cells like silicon cells is low, finding new materials is the need of the day. Extensive Research on Solar cell material is carried out by the members of the Department of Solar Energy.
