The Investigator is extremely thankful to Dr.G.R.Parthasarathy, Coordinator and

Dr. P. Ilangovan, Deputy Coordinator of the UGC-UPE Project 6 and Dr. K. Lakshmi for

their kind coordination and ready cooperation with constructive suggestions and

continuous support throughout the period in the preparation of Digital Atlas using

geomatic technology.

The Investigator wishes to record his deep sense of profound gratitude to his team

of Research Fellows viz. Dr. R .S.Suja Rose, M.Sc., Ph.D, Mrs.M.Shabira Begum, M.Sc.,

Mrs.M.Lakshmi,M.Sc.,Dr.P.Thirumalai, M.Sc., Ph.D., Ms.V.GokulaKrishnaPriya, M.Sc.,

preparation of Digital Atlas during the entire project period. Without their timely help and

untiring effort this project work wouldn’t have seen the light of this day.

The Investigator wishes to thank Mr. N. Sudhagar, Mr. P. Saravanan, and all other

research fellows who have worked in Project No: 6 Mapping and Managing Natural

Resources and Environment and for their help to us throughout the project period. Thanks

are also due to guest lecturers Mrs.R.Jeyanthi, Mrs.S.Poongodi, and Research scholars

Mr.S.Senthil Kumar, Mrs. D.Nithya, Ms. R.Manonmani and the Post graduate students of

Department of ERAC who have underwent the M.Sc ERS&GIT course during the Project

period for their sincere support in various capacity. Thanks are especially to

Mrs.G.Ananthakamatchi and Mrs. P.Vijayalakshmi, and S.Vijayalakshmi for their

support during the final preparation of map plates of Digital Atlas using Geomatic

Technology.

The Investigator wishes to express his heart felt thanks to the financial support
