Faculty met the Mayor of Madurai Corporation, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, other officials and Councilors of Madurai Corporation and had a discussion regarding the flood prone areas of Madurai city and also the effective measures to be taken at the time of flood on 14th September, 2010 (Reported in the news papers).

Mapping service was extended to the university to prepare Built-up Site, 3 D Maps, Land use and Future Plan Maps
