Centralized Counseling System:


Students and Scholars of the School can contact any Teacher Counsellor of their choice who will be available at the Students Counseling Cell at the University Hospital / Health Centre on all working days (Monday to Friday) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and share their problems and academic worries and get counselled. One Teacher Counselor will be available at any given time on all working days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Students Counseling Cell located at the University Hospital/Health Centre.

If the student/scholar feels hesitant to speak to the Teacher Counsellors, he/she can send email to studentscounseling@mkuniversity.org directly with the details of the problem he/she face and require psychological intervention. The appointment Students/Scholars do not have to mention their names (so that anonymity is maintained) instead write their special Code numbers which will be generated and will be given to the students by the Teacher Counsellors.

The Teacher Counsellor can refer the needy student/scholar to the Student Counsellor of the University Dr.S.Jenefa, Professor and Head, Dept. of Journalism and Science Communication, MKU, who will fix an appointment with the Professional Counselor from M.S.Chellamuthu Trust for Mental Health and Rehabilitation, Madurai will be fixed and intimated to the email id and the needy student/scholar can get counselled at the Cell.
