Village Adaptation Programme
Faculty, scholars and students of School of Religions, Philosophy and Humanist Thought were adopted Muthupatti village and involved in the tree plantation programme. 200 saplings are planted around the village.248 Houses were surveyed

 

Extension Activities and Institutional Social Responsibilities

  • The School visited Keeladi, Sivagankai where Archeological excavations are being carried out
  • Christmas was celebrated in the School in December 2016
  • Visiting Buddhist Peace Centre, SankaranKovil as part of Inter-religious Field Visit
  • Pongal Festival has been celebrated by the School in January, 2017. A Speical Guest from USA is also participated in the celebration
  • Gandhi Peace Run is inaugurated with the flag of by Hon’ble Minister for Revenue and disaster management Mr. R. B. Uthayakumar, Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor Prof. P.P. Chelladurai, Registrar Dr. V. Chinniah with COE Dr. S. Andiappan on 2nd October, 2017
  • Gandhi Jeyanthi Celebration is Organized by the Department of Gandhian Studies and Ramalinga Philosophy on 2nd October, 2017
  • During Villaga adaptation Programme our faculty members collecting datas from the village residents
  • Under the plan of Swachhta Pakhwada of the Govt. of India, our School has adopted Muthupatty Village for Care for the surroundings: Tree Plantation Dr. S. Venkatachalam and Dr. R. Anbazhagan co ordinate the programme
  • The Students Studying P. G. Diploma in Sikhism and Comparative Religion Visited the Golden Temple and Guru Nanak Dev University – Amritsar
  • Inter-religious Prayer is being conducted in Collaboration with Gandhi Museum every Friday evening at Gandhi Museum
  • In collaboration with Inter - Religious Dialogue center, Madurai, Organizing Inter Religious Programmes
  • Inter - religious live together and festivals of different religions are organized
  • Peace marches are also organized in collaboration with Gandhian and other non voluntary organization
  • Sarvodaya mela is organized every year on Feb 12 at Rameswaram in which Khadi and sarvodaya workers, Students and public are participating in the Programme
