  1. Memorandum of Agreement is made at Madurai, the 3rd day of January, 2018 between Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, and Extreme ProTech, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, South Dakota, USA,  to encourage the direct contact and research collaboration between Dr. P. Varalakshmi, and Dr. B. Ashokkumar, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and Dr. Rajesh Sani, Chief Scientific Officer, Extreme ProTech, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, South Dakota, USA to develop innovative methods and  technologies for the Product and Process development from extremophiles.

 

Expected outcome: Products from extremophiles will be used for cleaning the bio wastes in the environment.

  1. Memorandum of Agreement is made at Madurai, the 28th day of October, 2017 between Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, and Algoma Algal Biotechnology, University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, USA for doing collaborative research between Dr. P. Varalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Molecular Microbiology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and Dr. Toivo Kallas, Co- Founder Algoma Algal Biotechnology, University of Wisconsin, USA for gaining the knowledge and to transfer the technologies to be established in cultivation and production of bioproducts from microalgae.

 

Expected outcome: Algal products like advanced fuels will be commercialized using low cost technologies.
