The Central Instrumentation Centre was established with the funding from University Grants Commission’s (UGC) University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) Scheme. The main vision of the Central Instrumentation Centre is to manage core central equipment facilities, purchased under various programs such as UGC-UPE and DST-PURSE in a single place to nucleate multidisciplinary research activities. CIC provides service to researchers of all the Departments of the University, affiliated colleges, and other educational institutions and industries in southern region with a nominal charge. Added to this, CIC conducts seminars, workshops and short-term-course to young researchers to get hands-on experience in handling the equipments and interpreting the results. CIC is open for students from schools and colleges for general public education.
